Wufei has no respect for what he considers to be weakness, whether it be losing a battle, not fighting hard enough, or merely being female. He often feels that he is not strong enough to be able to pilot the Shenlong (later the Altron) gundam, which he calls Nataku. After he meets Sally Po, though, he seems to have a little more respect for himself and for those who continue to fight in spite of their "weakness".
